CUE FAQs

Your home institution is where you regularly attend and are seeking a degree. Your
host institution is the school you are visiting to take classes through CUE.
  1. Research which course you would like to take at the host university. You will be responsible for researching course information.
  2. Fill out the CUE application form with your advisor. The CUE application form requires three signatures to be processed: your signature as the student, your Academic Advisor's signature, and either your Academic Dean's or UIndy's CUE Officer's Signature.
  3. Submit your application to the Registrar’s Office at registrar@uindy.edu.
  4. The CUE representative within the Registrar’s Office will submit your application to your host institution on your behalf during your host institution's open CUE application period.
  5. If your application is accepted and you can be enrolled in the course, then you will receive an email from a representative from your host institution with additional required information (e.g., parking information, additional necessary laboratory or special fees, etc).
  6. At the end of the Semester, your host institution will submit your final grade to the Registrar’s Office, and we will apply this grade to your University of Indianapolis academic record.
  1. Your home institution will submit your application to UIndy's Registrar’s Office at registrar@uindy.edu.
  2. We will verify that there is room in your requested course and that you can be enrolled. If you can be registered, then we will process your registration. If you cannot be enrolled in your requested section, we will email your home institution's CUE officer a list of potential alternatives if they exist. You will then follow your home institution's procedures for submitting a new application, if applicable.
  3. Once your registration is complete, we will email you a confirmation of your registration. This email should include your UIndy student ID number, your UIndy class schedule, a map of UIndy’s campus, parking instructions, and instructions for activating your UIndy online account.
  4. You will need to activate your UIndy account to access your UIndy email and Brightspace, UIndy’s LMS where you will have access to required course materials and be able to complete assignments.
  5. At the end of the semester, we will submit your final grade to your home institution.
