Undergraduate Job & Internship Resources at the R.B. Annis School of Engineering (RBASOE)
Getting summer internships is very helpful at landing a job upon graduation. The RBASOE Job/Internship Resources document is a useful guide to aid your job/internship search.
Engineering Undergraduate Research
Faculty in the R.B. Annis School of Engineering have active scholarship and research agendas. As an undergraduate student, performing research with a faculty mentor is a great way to develop problem solving, presentation, technical writing, and professional skills. Students are often able to earn course credit for participating in research, and funding may also be available for student stipends.
The Undergraduate Research Opportunities document has a list of faculty members with projects currently seeking undergraduate researchers. Reach out to these faculty members directly if you are interested in doing research with them.
Engineering Honors Students
Engineering students who are in the Honors Program will need to complete a research project before they graduate. In collaboration with the Ron and Laura Stain Honors College, the R.B. Annis School of Engineering has created honors capstone overlap options. Options include an honors project in collaboration with your 400-level DesignSpine project (this must be finalized mid-March of the academic year before your take ENGR/CSCI 496), or an honors project that overlaps with ENGR 450 (Engineering Research). It is recommended that honors students seek out a research advisor by the end of their first year to start working on research.
