The course must be less than 5 years old from the anticipated time of completion of the post-masters program of study, enrolling in a post-master NP.
- Coursework review/gap analysis:
- Once the applicant's application materials are complete, the program faculty will conduct a preliminary analysis of previously completed master's course work.
- The applicant will be responsible for submitting syllabi, course calendars, and completed direct patient care clinical hours for courses taken during previous master's programming that the applicant wants considered for transfer to the post-master's program.
- Additional materials, such as continuing education hours, clinical certifications and other professional activities may be considered as verification of content and clinical expertise in the coursework/gap analysis review.
- The program faculty will conduct a curriculum review of the syllabi and associated materials. The gap analysis will indicate which courses will need to be taken to complete the desired program of study. This analysis will also be used as documentation for completion of the required elements of sitting for national certification examinations, as applicable.
- The gap analysis is a requirement when submitting an application for certification.
Once a completed application is received, a faculty member or the academic advisor will contact you to set up an interview.
