Online Learning in Aging Studies
High Tech, High Touch
Earn your degree or certificate through our completely online Aging Studies graduate program and we will work hard to make sure you feel connected. UIndy is committed to personal attention, and that includes students learning in an online format.
What you should know:
- We are committed to keeping classes small. Most classes have an average of 12-18 students.
- Students interact with each other through online forums and discussion boards and sometimes are asked to complete projects as a group, with each student contributing to the final product.
- Coursework will take students away from their computers and out into their own communities, where they will interact with older adults and the people who serve them.
- Students have access to the UIndy Krannert Memorial Library's databases and journal collections for academic research, as well as other student services, including the UIndy Writing Lab
- Our professors and instructors respond in a timely manner.
- In order to help students develop and maintain a plan for their course of study, students meet regularly with our Academic Advisor.
- Master's candidates who live outside of Indianapolis have the option to present their Capstone in person and attend the commencement ceremony at UIndy. Those who live outside of Indianapolis can (and have!) share their Capstone presentation virtually.
