Admissions Criteria for OTD Priority Admit Option

 

August 2026 start date

This application process is open to students with at least junior status (60-89 credits) at any institution who is projected to graduate with an undergraduate degree by August 2026. 

  1. Applicants must be at a junior status at any regionally accredited institution.
  2. Current UIndy students who have been identified as early assurance or 3+ entry as incoming freshmen, can apply using this method and eliminate CAS application fees.
  3. Interested students must apply using the University of Indianapolis Application System between the dates of (January 25 - April 15 of their junior year)
  4. Successful completion of the following prerequisite courses (with a ā€˜C’ or better) by time of application. 
    1. 2 of 4 behavioral sciences courses
    2. One of the following courses
      1. Chemistry or physics
      2. Statistics
    3. The remaining prerequisite courses must be completed prior to the start of the OTD program. Admission will be contingent on the completion of all prerequisites with a C or better prior to the start of the program (August 2026)
  5. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale at the time of application
  6. Three (3) letters of recommendation. One recommendation must be from an occupational therapist. Two additional letters must be from professional or academic source
  7. Submitted CASPer score (directions on how to register and send scores available here)
  8. Invited applicants will participate in an on-campus interview
