At UIndy, outside scholarships can be an important part of your funding plans. Outside scholarships can come from all sorts of places – community foundations, businesses, religious groups, and more.

Eligibility Requirements
- Free to enter.
- After creating an account, no further action is required to enter the scholarship. You are then free to explore the Financial Literacy tools and resources.
- Must be legal resident of the United States who is 18 years of age or older by the end of the standard academic year.
- Two winners from each of three the geographical regions will be drawn on or around June 1 and December 1.
- One entry/account per person. One entry per drawing. Students can log into their account during each drawing period to re-enter and update their information.
- Checks are made payable to the winners college/university in the name of the winner.
Using your outside scholarships
Have you received a scholarship from a community foundation, religious group, employer, and other organization? Congratulations! Follow these steps below to use your scholarship to help with your education at UIndy.
- Mail (or have your scholarship provider mail) your scholarship check to 1400 Hanna Avenue, ATTN: Office of Financial Aid, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227.
- With the check, make sure to include the following:
- Your UIndy student ID number
- The name of the scholarship provider
- Any information on how the scholarship can be used (i.e., the money can only be used for tuition)
- Send in your information as soon as possible. Processing of outside scholarships can take up to two weeks.
Your outside scholarship will be included as part of your overall financial aid package. In most cases, your scholarship will be split evenly between Semester I and II.
