Lugar Symposium Schedule

The 48th Annual Richard G. Lugar Symposium for Tomorrow's Leaders will take place on Saturday, November 23, 2024. We are proud and excited to offer this great leadership training opportunity to the students of Indiana, and we're looking forward to seeing you there.

Check-in

Check-in will begin at 8:30 a.m. (EST) in the Schwitzer Student Center Atrium. Directions and a campus map are located at map.uindy.edu. We suggest parking in Lots #14, 17, or 11, and no parking pass will be necessary, as all lots are open parking on the weekends.

Upon arrival, participating students will be given a detailed schedule for the day (including which event sessions they will attend) and an ID badge.

Parents, teachers, counselors and others who accompany students to the Lugar Symposium will also need to check in and collect their materials at a separate table in the Schwitzer Student Atrium, since they follow a separate agenda for the day.

Schedule

Morning

Steve Inskeep will give the keynote address. After the keynote address, Inskeep will host a question-and-answer session with student participants.

Lunch

A complimentary buffet lunch is provided for all attendees and adults who accompany them.

Sessions

Each participant will attend a breakout session focused on current events, which will last approximately one hour. We make every effort to place students in their top session choice. However, we know all the sessions will be insightful and informative.

The day's activities will conclude at 3:30 p.m., and students may be picked up at the Schwitzer Student Center (same building where they register in the morning).

What To Wear

The dress code for this event is business casual attire.

Cost

There is no charge to attend the Symposium.
