Archaeology

Discover the past—and make a difference for others.

You love travel, but not as a tourist. You love listening to people. And you don't see yourself working in a cubicle. True? Then archaeology might be the degree for you. The UIndy program gives students hands-on archaeological training and experience, largely with North American materials. By graduation, you will be prepared to dig and work professionally anywhere in the world! And while the emphasis is on field training and methodology, you will also benefit from training in both theory and method.

As an undergraduate, I got hundreds of hands-on time working in a real archaeology lab. I was able to conduct my own research and present at regional and national conferences.
