Scholarships
At the University of Indianapolis, nine out of 10 students receive financial assistance in the form of scholarships, grants, student loans and part-time work. When you support scholarships at UIndy you help provide essential financial aid packages that could be the deciding factor for whether a student can attend the University.
The University will work with you to create a new scholarship or to fund existing scholarship programs that will support UIndy's mission.
Sponsored Scholars Program
If you wish to donate $2,500 or more to scholarships, you will have the opportunity to participate in the Sponsored Scholars Program. Supporting scholarships at this level offers you several opportunities.
- You will learn more about the student you are assisting and receive a letter from the student.
- You will have the opportunity to meet with the student whose education you are helping to support at a special UIndy event.
Endowed Scholarships
By establishing an endowed scholarship fund with a gift of $25,000 or more, you can leave a legacy of support for future students at the University. When you create an endowed fund you have the opportunity to name the scholarship and help select eligibility criteria. Earnings from these funds are awarded annually to students who meet these criteria. The amount and number of awards may vary depending upon available funds. Thanks to these endowed scholarships, current and future students can rely on financial support this year and for years to come.
Scholarship Recipient Snapshot - Katie Rowland
![]() |
On a service-learning trip to South America, Katie Rowland discovered what it truly means to make a difference. During the medical mission to Ecuador in conjunction with a local church, she and other UIndy nursing students set up a medical clinic to assist more than 800 people, filling about 1,500 prescriptions in four days of clinics. One patient was so touched by the care she received that she renamed her baby after one of UIndy's students! Katie found many ways to brighten the lives of those in need -- confirming for her that she has, in fact, chosen the right career path. As a UIndy scholarship recipient, Katie is grateful that so many UIndy alumni and friends believe in her and her goal of becoming a nurse. |
