Criminal Justice Student Organizations & Activities

Through UIndy's Criminal Justice Department, you can get involved in student organizations and other activities focused on criminal justice that help you gain valuable professional experience and connect with other students who share your interests.

Honor society

Alpha Phi Sigma

Alpha Phi Sigma is the honor society for criminal justice students. The goals of the UIndy chapter are to promote members’ professionalism and employability; to keep abreast of the advances in evidence-based practices; and to elevate criminal justice as a field and discipline.

Career programs

Bachelor’s to Badges program

Criminal Justice majors with concentrations in Law Enforcement are given the opportunity to enter the Bachelor’s to Badges program, which allows them to enroll in the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy during their senior year. UIndy has guaranteed spots in the academy and entrance fees are included in regular tuition.

UIndy Cadets

The criminal justice program works with the University of Indianapolis Police Department to provide Law Enforcement students with a cadet internship. Cadets work in the campus police department, learning how police departments operate to keep the public safe.
