Tuition & Financial Aid for the Master of Science in Athletic Training

 

Graduate Student Tuition (Per Credit Hour)

Students who are admitted into the Master of Science in Athletic Training program will be assessed tuition at $754 per credit hour for the 2025-26 academic year.

The Master of Science in Athletic Training program requires 65 credit hours. It can be completed in two years (six semesters), including summers:

  • Year One: 38.5 credit hours across three semesters
  • Year Two: 26.5 credit hours across three semesters

Fees

The following fee schedule applies to graduate students enrolled in degree programs offering on-campus coursework with some online content. Full-time is considered 9 or more credit hours per semester. Part-time is considered 8.5 or fewer credit hours per semester.

  • Full-time: $1,560/year ($780/semester)
  • Part-time: $944/year ($472/semester)
  • Summer: $88

Additional Costs

Additional estimated costs may include:

  • Certified background portal fee, background check, program health requirements Up to: $150 for program
  • Textbooks and supplies:$460 for program
  • NATA Student membership: $75 annually
  • Attendance at a professional conference: $45 variable

Additional expenses may be incurred for travel to clinical sites and appropriate clothing for clinical experiences.

Financial Aid

Students enrolled in the MSAT program may be eligible to borrow loans from the U.S. Department of Education through the Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan and Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loan programs. The Office of Financial Aid is available to help students explore their financial aid options.

Scholarships

MSAT students are considered for a limited number of institutional scholarships. UIndy students that apply for Early Entry admission to the MSAT program during their 3rd year of undergraduate study and begin graduate courses during their 4th year at the university may be eligible to receive a $3,000 per year scholarship. Students who are admitted as freshmen with Early Assurance status into the pre-Athletic Training program are automatically considered. (Note: merit scholarships and other financial aid awarded to UIndy students for undergraduate study are not applicable for graduate programs which includes early entry year of the MSAT program).
