College of Education & Behavioral Sciences Mission Statement
To prepare educators, practitioners, and scholars to work alongside diverse communities, cultivate equity, and promote societal change.
The School is known for leading-edge programs and supportive, experienced faculty who have strong relationships with central Indiana schools. In fact, our teacher education department was nationally recognized for its partnerships with local K-12 schools through the 2013 Model of Excellence Award in the Partnerships category from the national Association of Independent Liberal Arts Colleges for Teacher Education.
All programs emphasize applied learning from the very start, so students are well prepared to be successful teachers and principals upon graduation.
