You'll develop a broad understanding of where we have come from so you can understand today’s world and the world of tomorrow. No matter your major, you will be exposed to a variety of courses in history, politics, economics, policy and international relations.
A unique feature of our program is the opportunity for undergraduates to conduct independent research. Students work closely with a faculty mentor to investigate a topic they are passionate about. Many UIndy students have won the Indiana Historical Bureau’s Bennett-Tinsley Award for History Research.

I chose to attend the University of Indianapolis because I wanted a place that would challenge me academically and build a good sense of community. Our class sizes are intimate so there’s a lot of discussion instead of all-day lectures. Professors are always willing to work with me to meet my academic goals.
