Regional Science Fair Rules:
Number of Projects Allowed Per School

Since we re-organized the Central Indiana Regional Science Fair in 1999, participation
has grown considerably. In each of the past two years, we hosted nearly 1,000 students
in grades 1 through 12 over a three-day period.

We have been happy to see the increased involvement, but the fair has become very difficult
to manage. We have a limited amount of time, energy, and resources to devote to the fair.
Because of this, after a great deal of discussion and careful consideration, we have decided
to limit the number of participants.

This year, each school in the Lower Elementary, Upper Elementary, and Junior
Divisions
(grades 1 through 8) will be limited to three projects per grade. Group projects
are permitted, so the number of student participants per school will vary.

For Senior Division schools, the number of projects per school will not be limited.
