UIndy Graduation & Senior Week 2014

For the first time, UIndy will hold a combined commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 3, in Key Stadium for both undergraduate and graduate students who completed their programs in December 2013 or May 2014, or who will be finishing their studies in August 2014. The 2014 commencement ceremony starts at 11 a.m. and will feature two student keynote speakers (another first), graduate student Peter Brown and undergraduate student Will Schnabel.

UIndy also will honor graduates during Senior Week. Events include:
Monday, April 28: Midnight Breakfast
Tuesday, April 29: BBQ with President Manuel
Wednesday, April 30: All-Campus BBQ for UIndy Grads
Thursday, May 1: Senior Night at McQ’s
Friday, May 2: Reception for Graduates at the Columbia Club
Saturday, May 3: Graduation Reception

Creative-writing camp for high schoolers starts June 22

High school students interested in creative writing can hone their talents this summer at a week-long camp led by nationally recognized writers from UIndy. The UIndy Young Writers Workshop will run June 22-27 on the University campus. The cost is $175 for commuters, with room and board available for an additional $135. The program is open to incoming high school juniors and seniors as well as this year’s graduating seniors.

But these agencies aren’t for the faint of heart. Our students put in long hours and turn out top-notch work. The dedication has paid off in many ways, including our student-run public relations firm being named best in the country.
