Outreach & prevention activities

The Student Counseling Center routinely develops awareness campaigns, educational workshops and interactive outreach tables to enhance wellness and encourage healthy choices in our campus community. Personal growth and mental health topics of interest are often featured, such as:

  • Relationship decisions
  • Alcohol-related issues
  • Signs of depression
  • Suicide prevention
  • Personal safety
  • Eating disorder prevention
  • Bystander training

Workshops for campus departments

Our staff offers presentations for departments to discuss in greater detail issues of working with distressed students and referral to sources of help. We are also available to assist with orientation for new faculty or staff regarding our services.
