Residential Living
All residence hall rooms have the following:
- one telephone jack; local calls are unlimited; long-distance
calls require a phone card - two ethernet Internet access jacks
- basic cable
- two beds
- two desks or desk areas
- room for hanging clothes
- dresser/chest of drawers
Parking
All students are allowed to bring cars to campus. Parking is free
to all University of Indianapolis students, faculty and staff.
All cars must be registered with the University of Indianapolis
Police Department. Registered vehicles must have the static-cling
parking permit affixed to the windshield of the car. Students
should be aware that some parking lots are not for student parking.
Students should obey the signs posted at the entrance to each
lot. Red permit stickers are for residents, yellow permits are
for commuters, and green permits are issued for faculty and staff.
Parking tickets are issued on the University of Indianapolis campus. To avoid fines, students are advised to follow all parking rules and regulations.
Meals
Resident students must choose a meal option while living on campus. There are four meal plan options (depending on where you reside):
- Level 1 Meal Plan + 25 Dining Dollars
The Level 1 Meal Plan is available to commuter students and those students living in the Campus Apartments. This meal plan options gives students 80 Meals for the semester. This meal plan averages out to about five meals per week. This plan is for the student who desires to eat a meal a day on campus. In addition to the 80 meals per semester, students will receive $25 in Dining Dollars annually. - Level 2 Meal Plan + $25 Dining Dollars
The Level 2 Meal Plan is available to all upper class students. This meal plan options gives students 160 Meals for the semester. This meal plan averages out to about ten meals per week and is for students who think they will eat an average of two meals per day and probably not eat on the weekends. In addition to the 160 meals per semester, students will receive $25 in Dining Dollars annually. - Level 3 Meal Plan + 50 Dining Dollars
The Level 3 Meal Plan is available to all students. This meal plan options gives students 224 Meals for the semester. This meal plan averages out to about 14 meals per week and if for students who think they will eat an average of two meals each day of the week or three meals on weekdays. In addition to the 224 meals per semester, students will receive $50 in Dining Dollars annually. - Level 4 Meal Plan + 100 Dining Dollars
The Level 4 Meal Plan is available to all students. This meal plan options gives students 304 meals for the semester. This meal plan averages out to about 19 meals per week and is for students who think they will eat most meals during each day of the week. In addition to the 85 meals per semester, students will receive $25 in Dining Dollars annually.
Sack lunches are also available for students who are on the run or who will be off campus during the day. Polk Food Services (PFS) is readily available to assist students with demanding schedules or special dietary needs. These concerns should be addressed to PFS directly.
