UIndy Summer Band Camp

June 4-10, 2017

The UIndy Summer Band Camp provides current and incoming high school students with a fun and unique opportunity to study and perform music from the wind band and jazz band repertoires, exploring the commonalities and differences between these two large instrumental ensembles. Rehearsals will culminate in an end-of- week concert presented in the beautiful Ruth Lilly Performance Hall.

Grades: 9-12 (including recent 8th grade graduates)
Skill level: Campers should have at least two years of experience performing on their primary instrument.
Fee: $295

What to expect

  • Campers need to bring their own instruments. Guitarists and bassists should bring their own amplifiers.
  • Campers are encouraged to play in wind ensemble and jazz ensemble. Those who do not play instruments common to both ensembles will be placed in a second ensemble according to their talents and need of the camp.
  • There will be placement auditions on the first day of camp for wind ensemble and jazz ensembles.
