'Passport to Service' Volunteer Projects

Join the campus community for 'Passport to Service' projects in nearby Fountain Square in celebration of a milestone in the history of the University of Indianapolis–the inauguration of University president Dr. Beverley Pitts– honoring the University motto, "Education for Service."

  • Motor coach transportation to the Fountain Square community will be provided. Meet in the Esch Hall atrium to load coaches for your volunteer activity.
  • Shift one: Motor coach transportation departs campus at 8:30 a.m. for shift one (9-10:30 a.m.).
  • Shift two: Motor coach transportation departs campus at 10 a.m. for shift two (10:30 a.m. - noon).
  • Motor coach transportation will run every 30 minutes from the Fountain Square community and campus.
  • Free UIndy hats while they last!
  • Volunteers should wear old work clothes (UIndy T-shirts are encouraged), comfortable shoes and work gloves if needed for your task. Excluded from this suggested attire are activities at Fletcher Place, Second Helpings, and the food deliveries to the Concord Center; casual UIndy attire is suggested.
  • Volunteers can sign up for one 90-minute shift (9-10:30 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. to noon) or two consecutive 90-minute shifts (9 a.m. to noon) totaling three hours. Use the registration form to volunteer. If you are registering for two volunteer shifts, you will need to submit this form twice, one for each shift. Students, be sure to seek your faculty members' permission for release time. Faculty and staff may participate at the discretion of your supervisor.
