Enrollment

The University has more than 4,600 students at its main campus in Indianapolis, including more than 1,000 graduate students. The branch campus in Athens, Greece, has more than 550 students.

The average class size is 18 and the student-to-faculty ratio is 12 to 1.

Diversity

38 states and 53 nations are represented on campus; about 5% of the students are international.

72% of the student body is Caucasian, 8% African-American.

Students come from a spectrum of faith traditions, from Christianity to Judaism, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism.

Programs

The University offers 9 associate's, 70 bachelor's, 22 master's, and 5 doctoral programs.

Faculty

There are 460 full- and part-time faculty.

National Rankings

The University is ranked 33rd among institutions of its class by U.S.News & World Report.

Three schools have nationally ranked graduate programs: the Krannert School of Physical Therapy, the School of Occupational Therapy, and the School of Nursing.

International Affiliations

The Athens campus offers 30 undergraduate and 8 graduate programs. The University has extension sites at Galen University in Belize, Ningbo Institute of Technology in China, and Mar Elias Campus in Israel. UIndy also maintains relationships with other universities in Asia and Europe that facilitate the exchange of students and faculty.

Athletics

The University is a National Collegiate Athletic Association Division II school offering 21 team sports. Since 2000, 29 student-athletes have been named Academic All-Americans. UIndy has twice won the Great Lakes Valley Conference All Sports Trophy.

Tuition

2008-09 tuition is $20,320 per year; room and board is $7,790 with 19 meals per week, $7,380 for the 14-meal plan and $6,690 for the 10-meal plan. More than 85% of the students receive some type of financial assistance. The average need-based aid package is $17,265.

Residence Life

70% of freshmen live on campus, which has five residence halls and 58 apartment units.
