CELL appoints interim executive director
A seasoned educator and administrator has been named interim executive director of the Center of Excellence in Leadership of Learning at the University of Indianapolis.
David Dresslar has been serving as CELL’s senior fellow for high school transformation under Executive Director Lynne Weisenbach, who recently was appointed vice chancellor for P-16 education initiatives for the University System of Georgia.
Dresslar’s career has included various administrative positions including superintendent for the Jenison Public Schools in Jenison, Michigan. He also has served as a school consultant, a professional coach for the Indiana Principal Leadership Academy and an adjunct professor at Indiana University. He holds a doctorate in Educational Administration from Indiana University and has served in leadership positions for a number of professional and civic organizations.
As a national search is conducted to replace Weisenbach as dean of UIndy’s School of Education, those administrative duties will be handled by Associate Dean Kathy Moran.
