Students raise over $7,000 for cancer programs
University of Indianapolis students were honoredĀ for their fund-raising prowess at the recent Susan G. Komen Circle of Hope sponsor/volunteer recognitition event.
Several student organizations collaborated this fallĀ during UIndy’s “Pink Week” to collect more than $7,000 in contributions for the Indianapolis affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, which aims to eliminate breast cancer through research, education, screening and treatment.
UIndy student activities coordinator Jessica Nickoson accepted the plaque on behalf of the university at the Dec. 8 event.
