Nursing volunteers help schools fight H1N1 flu
As the Marion County Health Department faces the enormous task of vaccinating thousands of schoolchildren against the H1N1 flu, the UIndy School of Nursing is filling the gap with knowledgeable volunteers.

Student newspaper claims national awards
University of Indianapolis student newspaper The Reflector claimed its first national Newspaper Pacemaker award at the recent National College Media Convention in Austin, Texas.

Education major wins inaugural video challenge
Homecoming festivities Oct. 24 included the awarding of prizes in UIndy’s first annual Dog Bowl Video Challenge, in which students were invited to create brief videos explaining why they love the University of Indianapolis.

Homecoming king and queen crowned
UIndy juniors John Lasky and Katie Gainey were named the university’s 2009 Homecoming king and queen at halftime of Saturday’s football victory over Ohio’s Tiffin University.
Lasky is a graphic design major from Corydon. Gainey is an English major from Greenwood.
