All high school students are invited to UIndy’s annual High School Day on Saturday, Nov. 8, to learn more about us from faculty, staff and current students. Events run from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and include interactive sessions with faculty and students, an acadeThe UIndy football Greyhounds are ready for their close-up Thursday, when a home contest against in-state rivals Saint Joseph’s College airs as the Division II Game of the Week on CBS Sports Network, available to 99 million households nationwide. Kickoff is at 8 p.m. in Key Stadium, which will be full of UIndy fans wearing “Black Out” T-shirts. About 4,000 black shirts are available to the university community at the pregame pep rally, which includes free dinner and runs from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Schwitzer Student Center atrium and dining hall.mic fair, a student organization fair, lunch, and a campus tour. All events are free!

Health Pavilion construction

Health Pavilion construction

Construction on UIndy’s new Health Pavilion is progressing quickly. Crews are placing steel beams to form the frame of the 160,000-square-foot building, which will house UIndy’s respected health sciences programs. The final structural beam spent a week in the Schwitzer Student Center atrium for the UIndy community to sign before it is put in place during a Topping Out ceremony on Nov. 4 at 2 p.m.

UIndy Athletics issues year-long Champions Challenge

UIndy’s student athletes have had an outstanding year! The Greyhounds seek to flex their muscles even more and be counted among the elite in Division II athletics. To help us accomplish that goal, we’ll be raising funds to support our athletics programs through the Champions Challenge. A generous donor has pledged $250,000 in matching gifts. All new, unrestricted gifts to UIndy Athletics of $25 or more will qualify for a 2:1 match. The match also applies to any increase in unrestricted giving of $25 or more over last year’s gifts. Renewed gifts will be matched 1:1.

But these agencies aren’t for the faint of heart. Our students put in long hours and turn out top-notch work. The dedication has paid off in many ways, including our student-run public relations firm being named best in the country.
