Mission
The Department of Interprofessional Health and Aging Studies (IHAS) at the University of Indianapolis offers an undergraduate certificate in aging studies, a master’s program in aging studies, a doctorate in health sciences, and graduate certificates in aging studies, healthcare administration and leadership, and health professions education. Our mission is to prepare graduates to serve individuals, groups, businesses, and communities across the life course as leaders, educators, and scholars. Our programs foster excellence in professionalism and evidence-based practice through a focus on critical inquiry, interprofessional collaboration, and high ethical standards.

IHAS Dual Programs
Students in the Department of Interprofessional Health & Aging Studies have the option of pursuing one of 17 dual program options with shared credits, thus reducing the overall number of credits needed in order to complete both.
Highlights
- Each calendar year, one graduate assistantship is available to an IHAS student. The selected student works approximately 6 hours per week for the department, either on campus or remotely, in exchange for 9 total credits of tuition assistance spread out over three semesters: winter, summer, and fall. Application information, including eligibility criteria, is announced each fall semester for the upcoming calendar year.
