Alcohol and Drug Policy

Information for students, faculty & staff

The University of Indianapolis strives to promote a healthy and safe environment for its students, faculty and staff. It is with this overall concern for the well-being of its campus that UIndy complies with guidelines presented in the Drug Free Schools and Communities Act Amendment of 1989 (Public Law 101-226) and responds to alcohol and tobacco-related concerns presented by the United Methodist Church during its general conference in May of 2000.

The University of Indianapolis Student Handbook and Academic Planner offers policies and statements related to alcoholic beverages, drug-related offenses and controlled substances.
