Master of Arts in Curriculum & Instruction
UIndy's Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction program is designed to improve your pedagogy, teaching acumen, assessment methodology and technology integration in the classroom, while providing advanced knowledge in your subject area. As part of this program, you will also complete the graduate-level courses necessary to teach dual credit courses in either English or U.S. History.
Courses are offered in the evening on the University of Indianapolis campus as well as online. Summer courses are also available.
The MA in Curriculum & Instruction program is 36 credit hours, including 18 hours in your content area, 12 hours in curriculum and instruction and 3-6 hours of electives. Up to 6 credit hours may be transferred into the program. Students can complete the program in 1 1/2 years by taking 2 courses per term. However, degree completion time is flexible.
Students will complete Curriculum & Instruction Education courses in addition to courses in their chosen dual credit content area.
Tuition for the 2017-18 academic year is $428 per credit hour. Learn more about graduate fees/costs.
When can I start?
Students can begin the program in August, January, or May. Students must meet or exceed all admission requirements and be accepted into the program before enrolling in classes.
