The Center for Advising & Student Achievement (CASA) provides all undergraduate students with a centralized, accessible program of effective academic advising and mentoring. We assist students from registration to graduation, expanding the traditional role of advising to include topics on life skills and transitions to college, academic planning, personal goals, and connecting career exploration to a personalized curriculum. Services provided by CASA include the following:
- Major exploration
- Academic planning
- Registration help
- Referrals to the Academic Success Center
- Referrals to the Professional Edge Center
- Transcript evaluations
- Graduation audits
Student advising for all academic departments is consolidated into a campus-wide center for advising and student achievement. Your file is available to all advisors, so you can walk in anytime and address immediate concerns, or contact a specific advisor to set up a meeting.
Creating an Academic Plan
Whether you’re confident in your major or aren’t sure what to study, CASA will help you develop an individualized academic plan and extracurricular activities – a Greyhound Plan – to match your interests and goals. We’ll also connect you to academic resources, help you map out your semester schedule, and help you register for classes.
