Concentration in Multilingual Translation & Communication

Multilingual Translation & Communication is the applied interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary study of linguistic applications in various disciplines. As language is a critical activity in all human interactions, you will find that a concentration in Multilingual Translation & Communication will enable you to perceive ideas in a new light. The curriculum in Multilingual Translation & Communication Studies produces experts in intercultural communication, including translators, interpreters, and researchers. These professions are based on an excellent command of languages, wide-ranging communicative and research skills and a thorough familiarity with the theory and practice of translation and interpreting.

LANG 321 - Introduction to Translation Studies (2 hours) 
LANG 398 -  Multilingual Translation & Conversation (3 hours) 
LANG 401 - Advanced Multicultural Translation (4 hours)

*Choose one: 
IREL 100 - World Religion Geography (3 hours)
IREL 101 - Introduction to International Relations

Format & Requirements 

12 total hours are required to complete the program. Attendence in both day and extended program classes may be required. 

*A grade of C- (1.7 on a 4.0 scale) or higher is required in all courses applying toward the Multilingual Translation & Communications Studies concentration.
