Chamber Music Institute
Held during the summer, Chamber Music Institute provides an opportunity for high school freshmen to adult musicians to collaborate in chamber music settings with other talented students while under the tutelage of professional musicians and instructors. Participation is available to all piano, string, woodwind and horn instrumentalists. Chamber Music Institute musicians will be nurtured to raise their musical awareness in chamber ensembles and to communicate this through the language of music.
Students will be assigned one or more ensembles in which to participate for the duration of the Institute. Additionally, master classes and ensemble coaching along with individual practice time will comprise the day. Each student receives one private lesson in addition to his or her ensemble coaching.
Adult students interested in registering for Chamber Music Institute must complete the online registration form or complete and return the paper brochure and application.
The cost is $550 and includes application fee, tuition, accommodations for four nights (if needed) and some meals. If accommodations are not needed, the cost is $462.50. For additional information please contact program director Austin Hartman.
