Adult Music Curriculum

The UIndy Adult Music Program is designed for adult students ages 18 and over, at all levels of musical ability. Students receive their primary music instruction through weekly private lessons on the instrument of their choice, and may choose to supplement their studies with the elective courses listed below. Our instructors teach various music styles and methods, allowing students to develop their personal musical talents and interests. Lessons are taught on the UIndy campus. Private lessons

Students can register for 30-minute, 45-minute, or 60-minute lessons for the following areas:

  • Piano
  • Guitar
  • Violin
  • Viola
  • Trombone
  • Oboe
  • Tuba
  • Saxophone
  • Cello
  • Flute
  • Organ
  • Percussion
  • Voice

Elective courses

  • Chamber Music
  • Ear Training
  • Music Theory

*Advanced students may be invited to play as part of UIndy Chamber Orchestra.
