Choose a Summer Registration Day
One part of completing the Deposit and Summer Registration Reply Form includes selecting a Summer Registration day. Registering for classes is the focus of this day as you will meet individually with a faculty advisor in your areas of interest to schedule your fall classes. It’s important to confirm your major prior to registration to assure you will be properly matched with the appropriate faculty advisor. In addition to registering for classes, you will also participate in other student orientation sessions and learn and explore your housing assignment. Parents are also welcome to attend summer registration as separate parent sessions are offered throughout the day.Select Your Residence Hall
If you plan to live on campus, be sure to complete the housing preference section of the Summer Registration Reply Form and sign the housing contract. You can select your top three residence hall preferences for housing and complete an interest section that will be used to match roommates. Of course you can always request a roommate if you would like as well. Housing assignments are based upon availability and the order in which housing deposits are received. You will be notified of your housing assignment at summer registration. Roommate assignments are mailed out in the early July.
Apply for Financial Aid
The 2009-10 tuition cost is $20,970. The room and meal plan rate for a 14 week meal plan for 2009-10 has been set at $7,610. Your total cost of attendance, which you will receive upon completion of the financial aid process, will reflect a deduction from the 2009-10 actual charges of any scholarships, grants, loans or financial aid you receive.
If you filed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the University of Indianapolis Application for Financial Aid, you will be considered for all types of federal, state and university aid. You will receive a preliminary notification of your eligibility for assistance and your actual costs approximately four to six weeks after your FAFSA data has been processed.
Additionally, it’s important to quickly fulfill any requests for additional financial aid information or edit requests in order to receive a final financial aid award letter. Your bills for the fall will be generated in late summer and will be reduced by the total amount of scholarships, grants, loans and financial aid.
